How To Stop Being Lazy: 7 Proven Ways Can Help You

how to stop being lazy

“How To Stop Being Lazy”? It is difficult to find motivation because we all have so little energy. Sometimes it happens, but as these times get longer or longer, we may begin to see ourselves differently. It is becoming more and more difficult to accept the Holy Spirit because our inner selves are not so important. We may wonder if we can do this. We may feel lazy.

In these busy times, having occasional laziness is not only common, it is absolutely necessary. But if you are lazy most of the time and have trouble doing things, it may be a sign that something is wrong.

Lack of passion for work, a huge to-do list, and even a serious illness are just some of the things that can get in the way of your desire to get things done. Here we’ll cover all the basics and tell you how to stop being lazy so you can be more productive.

1.  Confusion:  “I don’t know what to do.”

When this happens, it can seem overwhelming and you start to rationalize that you don’t. Self-proclaimed perfectionists suffer greatly from many things. You want to get a finished process or result, but you are afraid to even start. The trick is to get started and figure it out as you go. You learn from mistakes as you get older.

2. Neurotic Fear: “I just can’t.”

As soon as you hear this voice, you will prefer anything but the task assigned to you. Instead of reading a book or taking a course that will move you forward, you will be stuck. To do nothing.

But I bet there are times when you want it. Especially when you start something new and excel at things you could never do before. Think back to those times and use that as fuel to get started.

3. Fixed Mindset: “I’m afraid I will fail or look stupid.”

A fixed mindset means you are afraid to make mistakes and grow. You are scared you would look. A growth mindset is a cure to this understanding that you can grow, change and be better at anything you work consistently at even with lots of mistakes that would make you a better person.

Whenever you hear this voice tell yourself this, “I’d make mistakes and learn from them.”

4. Lethargy: “I’m too tired.  I don’t have the energy.”

This voice constantly lies to you. The cure for this is to tell yourself “one more time.” When you feel tired after 20 pushups, tell yourself “one more time”. Doing one more thing will prove to you and your mind that you have enough energy and enthusiasm to do what needs to be done.

5. Apathy: “I just don’t care about anything.”

In fact, you can do anything. Everyone cares about something, and the only reason this voice is on the surface is that we feel like we can’t do anything to our emotions. Find something you care about and work on it or use it as fuel to do what you need.

Ex:-

You like to browse IG images, do things you need to do in the time required by your to-do list, and use IG browsing as a reward.

6. Regret: “I’m too old to get started. It’s too late.”

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second time is now. This voice comes up when you miss an opportunity that comes up again. Don’t listen to it. You can start now. You still have so much time. What would you rather do? I hope you start.

7. Identity: “I’m just a lazy person.”

There is really power in your words. Be careful how you use them. And if you don’t believe in spirituality and you’re more scientific – there’s something called “confirmation bias” when you think you’re lazy, everything around you confirms that fact.

Say you are tired and your mind is starting to find reasons, how to stop being lazy to reinforce your preconceived notions.
