Transparent PNG files not working on iPhone

I often use PNG files in iPhone Image Editors. I started having problems with my PNG files a month or two ago when half of them no longer show a transparent background when imported into my image editing programs. I don’t know exactly what went wrong or how, because images with a previously transparent background suddenly no longer.

I even took them to my computer, iCloud Drive, then back to Photos to see if they were still PNG files and didn’t convert themselves to JPEG, but were still. When I exported them, their background looked transparent, but when I sent them back to my phone, they were white. Does anyone know what’s going on?

Edit:-

I sent some of my PNG files to iCloud Drive and noticed that they were somehow converted to JPEG files. However, the PNG files sent to my computer and back to iCloud Drive that was still open, I saved them to my photo library (which showed that they were actually PNG files) and then re-uploaded them to iCloud Drive just to find them. . converted to JPEG storage. This doesn’t always happen to my PNG files because I’ve recently saved well-functioning PNG files, so I don’t understand the problem.
